Brazilia

About the hugely painful experience - I went to Brazilia on South William Street, who specialise in waxing and such things. The therapist was great. Apparently when the first big strip came off, the look on my face screamed: "Oh my God I've made a huge mistake!" so she started chatting non-stop to distract me. It was painful, excruciating at times, but the therapist was very quick and the time sped by.

She had changed from full to part-time hours recently as she had started doing special effects makeup in films, so I asked her about that and it was fascinating and a great distraction.

We're about to leave for our holiday now - thanks for your bon voyage comments, I appreciate them! Not sure if I'll have time to post while I'm away, so will probably be offline until next week. Be good y'all!

Ouch! Yes, it is always much better when the therapist chats alot, when it gets quiet, you're like, talk, talk! But it is worth all the pain! Have a great holiday!

Dear hellojed. Yowch! I'm not sure I've got the guts to go to a place called 'Brazilia' to get some waxing done...

man oh man that does not sound fun. reminds me of episodes in "queer eye for the straight guy" (do you guys get that show in ireland? where five cute gay guys do makeovers on straight guys? hilarious) when they decide to wax the backs of hairy guys because there's nothing uglier than a hairy back.

hilarious to see them lying there bellowing like cows when the waxer rips off the cloth.

can't wait to hear about chicago.
