The tests went very well yesterday, but my plans for healthy living were dashed when I found out Daisy had the day off...needless to say we ended up in a succession of dodgy pubs on Dorset street until the Big Tree finally opened (we looked like lost alcoholic orphans, noses pressed up against the glass while the barmen studiously ignored us by watching tv while setting up) and proceeded to get stuck into their cocktail menu. (Appletinis only 4.60 euro!)

It was great to catch up as it's been a while since we had a decent chat, and I refuse to give up socialising for the sake of my weight - I'm happy to eat sensibly and exercise, but if I had to stop going out I'd just end up comfort eating. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) So no regrets.

Congrats on the tests.
That's the thing about healthy living, if you cut out all the stuff you enjoy completely, you'll just want it more. All in moderation.
Good luck with the writing this week. I can't believe how close you are to finishing! Very exciting. :)

Laurie, thank you so much, but my life isn't necessarily fun - just drink filled. Am spending Saturday night in for the sake of my liver.

Angie, thank you! I think I've given up to much in the past, which is why my weight yoyos. I need to find moderation! I also can't believe how close I am to finishing - it's strange.
