School

Being back at school is going pretty well I have to say. At the moment I'm doing a speed typing and advanced Word course...the latter is grand but the former is a little trickier, mainly because I'm not allowed to look at the keyboard or the screen. Instead my eyes have to be on the workbook at all times while I smack away at the keys.

The set-up reminds me of those sixties documentaries where rows of women clattered on identical black typewriters while merciless trainers stalked the room, poised with rulers to smack erring fingers. As this is the noughties they've done away with the pain and replaced it with shame - if I'm caught looking at my keyboard too much they've threatened to put a big box over my keyboard with holes to put my hands through. *Shudder*

sorry that deletion was me--i was logged on as my mom!

what i meant to say is that you'd think iwth all the writing you've been doing the typing would be pretty easy at this point.

hope you're enjoying your classes. it's fun to be back in school, isn't it?

Laurie, cheers! It is nice to have a schedule again.

Regarding the typing, it hasn't been very difficult really - but I've picked up a few bad habits that I'm struggling to eradicate!

It might make a good story though, if you get punished. ;) hehe. sorry.

Angie, absolutely - the only benefit to being publically humiliated is the story you can tell afterwards; at least it might amuse someone!

i agree. the best stories are always the ones that we are too embarrassed to tell...
