Public Shakespeare presents
THE TAMING OF THE SHREW

Now in its seventh year, Public Shakespeare is producing the great farcical comedy, The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare.

Since 2000 the Company have performed every Autumn in St. Stephen's Green offering 28 FREE shows to the young and old alike. This years' production promises to be the best yet.

Two sisters - both beautiful - one the object of everyone's affection, the other a curst shrew. The fair Bianca must wait to wed until a man is brave enough to capture Kate's wild heart. However, the shrewish Katharina meets her match when the handsome rogue, Petruchio comes to town.

From the siege of Venice to the wooing of Kate the menace, be prepared for a fun-filled, fast paced comedy featuring cat fights, Irish dancing, hunchbacks, ghetto blasters, gold diggers, hopeless romantics and MC Hammer all topped off with hint of golf.

A brill play - hope the production makes it all it can be.

We (The Lovely S and I) went to an open air prod of Much Ado at Stafford Castle a couple of months ago... It was fantastic.
