Oh, I am so glad that last week is finally over! After sleeping in until all hours over Christmas, stumbling around in the pitch black every morning in sub-zero temperatures was not a pleasant development.
This week has started better. I set my alarm clock back ten minutes so that I would get to work on time. (I never cop on when I first wake up, works a treat.) Strolling to work I reminded myself that I had a four day week ahead. And that I was finishing up with work soon...
I've been reading more Sol Stein and I'm inspired. The book is straight down the line, no waffle, just a guide to making the most of your writing and keeping your readers involved from the get go. After all, it's all about making them happy!

Somehow the first week back after Crimbo is bound to be grizzly. Must be a great feeling to know that you are finishing up soon and only have a four day week.
Tell me more about Sol Stein.
Hi Hullaballoo, I'm reading a book by Sol Stein called Solutions for Writers - Practical Craft Techniques for Fiction and Non-Fiction. He is a successful editor and novelist and is a dab hand at holding creative writing courses apparently. I'll talk more when I've finished it!
I found it so hard to drag myself out of bed last week and today wasn't much better!
Hope your positive vibes wash off on me.
I do the same thing with my alarm clock! How sad are we?
That book sounds very interesting - must look it up.
I also try to fool myself that way in the morning - and it works! My poor little brain...
I can't wait to finish writing my first draft before getting going with Sol Stein and the shears.
Ugh, working really is the pits. Am sort of glad to be penniless but tucked up in my jim-jams.
Not long to go now though, eh?
