FreeMind

Here's my first go at the mind map, made with FreeMind. (Click the image to view a clearer version)

Each node is a story title and each subnode is the name of each character in the story.

The next stop is to link each at least one character with another in a different story. As I was thinking of blood linkage I might create a mind map of a large family along with spouses/partners.

The software is free to download and is easy to use.

(P.S. Can you work out the theme of the novel from the story titles?)

Thanks for the tip on the writing software and also for visiting my blog.

That is so cool how you showed us. I can't wait to try it. Good luck with your plotting.

What a fun bit of software - useful too - will have to have a play around with it. Looks like an interesting set of stories too :-) Have a good weekend.

Alix, thanks!

Jen, I've found it very useful. Was working on the synopsis of my novel earlier too. Scary stuff!

That software looks interesting.
Your story titles and characters intrigue me! Thanks for sharing a little information with us. Is your story related to the ten commandments. Oo, and the title is Decalogue...interest is piqued here!

Ooh, that's interesting, I've never seen that before. makes it all easy to get to grips with which is often half the battle.

You seem so organised, well done!

Angie, you're right! I'm working on the synopsis right now, might post about it today...

Spiralskies, organising is all part of the wonderfulness of procrastinating!

Thanks for the post - I've been using NovaMind for my books, and have found it superb - excellent program, great support etc. I'm sure they had something about writing using Mind Mapping on their site somewhere, but I can't seem to see it right now.
