Distractions

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend.

I didn't get much work done unfortunately - it was quite boozy, but I did enjoy letting my hair down, so no regrets!

I'm incorporating the changes I made on paper into the soft copy document and I'm determined to get it finished by the end of the week. I'm shocked at how long it's taken me to finish this story. A lack of a strict deadline is causing me to drag my feet and the FEAR often gets in the way too.

So I'm removing all distractions in my way, including blogging, until I'm 100% happy about the story. Knowing me I won't be able to stay away for long - but hopefully I'll keep my posts brief!

Easter was great thanks. You sound like you had a great time too.

Best of luck with your deadline. Hope you do finish by the end of the week.

Distractions and the FEAR inhibit my writing/editing abilities too. Good luck with the blogging hiatus and the editing.
Glad your Easter was fun in spite of the closed pubs. :)

The Fear? Oh, no, thankyourverymuch, I don't want to hear about the F-E-A-R. Oh! You've made it go into my brain. Nooooooooooooooooo...

Debs, so do I!

Angie, the FEAR sucks but Easter was indeed great!

Helen, as soon as I tell myself that I can't do something I go ahead and do it. Expect a post tomorrow!

Welcome Maddie! Thanks!

Jen, that song is amazing and it's in my head too now.

Fair play - it's easier to crack on without the distractions. Although I'm a great one for 'do as I say, not as I do' - I'm getting far too easily distracted by the interweb at the moment, so many lovely, shiny blogs out there... Good luck with the editing :-)

Ooh, don't be away long Yvonne. It's looking scary; lots of us realising our determination and stopping the blogging.

Sounds like a sensible plan - I definitely need to borrow some will-power from somewhere, and get on with mine. I did quite well with the writing over Easter, oddly, but now I'm 'supposed' to be writing, I can feel some procrastinating coming on!

Jen, I'm going to give it a shot, but the interweb does have its siren call...

Hi Simplejean, thank you and welcome!

JJ, thanks, I'm sure I won't be away for long.

Karen, I suppose the pressure is off at the weekends - it just comes naturally rather than sitting down and forcing yourself to do it.

All work and no play etc... Easter came and went, and were it not for the bitesize chocolate egg a hotel receptionist gave me, I wouldn't have noticed. I got re-acquainted with Dublin last week by the way, but spent all my very limited free time walking in circles. Bizarre.

Blimey, it's hard to stay away, isn't it?
