Crumbs, he's really rather good, isn't he? Never heard of him before. I shall have to investigate - I may be coming over to Dublin the 1st weekend in May. It would be great if he were playing somewhere. Or anyone similar.
Is the Dublin anywhere near you?
OMG Jen, you're coming to Dublin? I live in the city centre and am around then if you fancy meeting up!
Here's his gig list: http://www.christymoore.com/gigs.php he's not playing in Dublin anytime soon though unfortunately, but there are a ton of pubs that play great traditional music here. I can send you an email if you want to know more!
Oh no indulging needed on my part. I fell in love with the Pogue's version Fairy tale of New York years ago. It's one of the few songs that can make me spontaneously weep.
The second one I loved: laughed out loud at Michael Flately dancing across the mantelpiece!
I quite liked the last one too.
I love that sort of music, wish I knew more about it.

Oh wow, I'd love to meet up! Will have to get organised. How exciting!!
JJ, I know, I always well up to Fairytale, it's amazing.
Jen, that's great!!!
Ah Delirium Tremens. My dad got Ordinary Man on vinyl (!) when I was wee and we used to get a great childish giggle from this song in particular. It's still as good now!
Caroline it still has me laughing!
