Paddy's Weekend

Paddy's weekend has arrived and I'm ready for the onslaught:

Later today we're watching the England vs Ireland rugby match and then heading off on a pub crawl.

Sunday is our day of rest - vegging in front of the tv.

Monday is Paddy's Day, a bank holiday here, and we're going to a party on the parade route. Then oblivion. (Dublin on Paddy's Day is one big drunken orgy. Unless you like getting hammered or are interested in a reinactment of the excess that brought down Ancient Rome, maybe pick another time to visit.)

So I won't be blogging regularly but I will be twittering from the bars. Expect concise observations of great philosophical and social profoundness.

Have a great one!

Enjoy St Patrick's! Having visited Temple Bar on a normal Saturday I can only imagine.

Have a good one!

We're not sure what we're doing but we might be up in Dublin for the parade. Or we might run the other way - depends on the mood on the day :-)

Sounds wonderful, I wish I could be there. Last year it was a friend of dh's 40th birthday on 16th March, it didnt occur to me until that night that his name is Paddy, he's Irish and that at midnight it would be St Patrick's Day. That was some party!!!

JJ, the twittering were awful! So far so good!

Alix, twittering is hillarious, was loving it. Stayed far away from Temple Bar!

Helen, it's been brilliant so far!

Jen, I understand - it's something you've got to judge on the day I reckon.

Jen, don't be jealous, it was a messy night!

Debs that's brilliant! Paddy's parties are the best in my opinion.
