1200 words today. I'm so chuffed at my progress this week, not only in word count but also in attitude.
Since I decided to go back to work full-time in September I've been managing my time better, getting more writing done, leaving the flat for a walk every day and generally feeling less anxious and more upbeat. I'm just one of those people who really needs a deadline and works very well to one.
I'm also excited about the challenge of earning money and writing a novel. Before when my savings ran out I'd be back at work, and all writing would pretty much cease until I could give up work again. Working and writing at the same time is a better solution long-term as it offers me the best of both worlds. It won't be easy but I'm determined to do it!
The weekend is again upon us - The Ours and I are having home-made burgers and wedges tonight. Tomorrow we're planning to paint the bathroom (planning being the operative word!) and on Sunday we're going to the Dublin vs Westmeath match.
Have a great one wherever you are.

You seem to have got the balance right, which is more than half the battle.
Earning money + doing what you love = really not bad at all.
Go you!
Impressive word count :o)
I'm struggling with the work/writing balance at the moment, and need to start managing my time better.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend!
Jen, that's the dream. Until I become a best selling author of course! ;)
Karen, I'll have to pick your brains on how you balance both. Hope you're having a great weekend too.
