I've rewritten 2100 words in two days - result! If I keep going like this I'll have finished the second story by next week.
In the interest of sharing my life as a struggling writer I've decided to post some of my twitter tweets from the past few days. (Please note: This is not an exercise in cheating or a poor excuse for not writing a proper blog post.)
Ever since I started listening to a cheesy 80's radio station my writing productivity has shot up. The cheesier the song, the better my writing. Go figure.
Tweets are going missing...grrr. That whale picture, once cute, is now grating on my luddite nerves.
I'm thinking of calling my local Garda station to complain about their helicopters keeping me up all night. Or perhaps the local joyriders.
I had visions of helicopter blades crashing through our bedroom window and its undercarriage strewn across the paving slabs like a cgi film or a season finale of ER.
Someone was reminiscing about using a phonebox to call his gf's mate to fetch his gf and have her go to a phonebox so he could call her. You forget what life was like without mobile phones.
Watching a programme called Flipping Out about an OCD property developer in LA. It's hillarious.
In one episode he gets a pet psychic in because he's afraid that his dogs will be upset with moving house. No joke. To me that is LA.
Quite overhanged today. Luckily lashings of diet coke are at hand. And stupid facebook in jokes.
Calvin&Hobbes quote: I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each other's dreams, we can play together all night.

Oh no, that's not a good sign. I must be doomed with my immaculately hip listening!
I'm so going to try your 80s music recommendation. It's worth a go!
And I *heart* Calvin and Hobbes :o)
There is something rather nostalgic about 80s music. It all seems so long ago now too. Strange.
You've written how much?? Must find some 80's music quick I think:-)
Econgirl, I'm sure any music that brings a smile to your face and lifts your mood will do the trick! ;)
Calistro, I listen to All 80's on DAB radio, it's great because there's no DJ so no distractions.
Debs, it's nostalgia heaven for me.
Lane, I'm determined to write 5000 words this week...we'll see how it goes.
I love cheesy 80s music. That sounds like a good plan x
I love your Twittery Tweets that pop up while I'm at work... they kind of remind me that I'm still connected to the writing world while I'm typing about llamas and whatnot.
Oddly, I write best with trashy tv... Corrie Omnibus, Robin's Nest... we are so intellectual :0)
80s music IS the best though... *goes off humming Girls on Film*
Helen, it lifts my spirits and makes me smile.
Jen, awh thanks! I'm very trashy, me.
