You're Not The Only One

But just before I go...

You're Not The Only One, a collection of intimate and personal stories from bloggers, is now available for purchase here. The book costs £12.50 but of that, £6 goes to the charity War Child which is a fantastic cause. It's available as a paperback book and downloadable pdf file.

I submitted two posts but neither of them made the cut - I'm trying to
a) not to take this personally and
b) learn from it, my lesson being to always re-read, edit and re-write everything before I submit it. Both posts were sent off on the fly and I just didn't take the time to look over them.

So I'm feeling a little knocked back - but also chuffed for my blogging friends whose posts did make it, a huge congratulations to them and to Peach who organised the entire thing.

I've bought my copy - have you?

Hope you get loads of writing done this week. I think I might need one of those wind powered chargers to get me going!

I didn't make the book either (after x2 entries) but never mind. Yay for those who did. It's a great cause:-)

Love the new header by the way.

750 = great start!

The book sounds great and at least you have used it as a learning experience, next time :)

M&T, thanks! I've managed 1400 words so far, I think the weekend break helped. The book is brilliant and the learning experience invaluable!

I haven't bought the book either, but I will. Despite not making the cut either! Not that I'm bitter or anything...

Good luck with the writing :o)

I was amazed to make the book and had been moaning to my poor father only yesterday that I only seem to get rejections, so it did cheer me up a bit.

Am delighted for you Debs, can't wait to read your contribution! I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my mood bounced back - perhaps my skin has thickened after all.
