Happy Bastille Day y'all.
I have taken the day off today, ostensibly to nurse a poorly The Ours back to health but really to laze around and listen to funny podcasts with him. You just can't beat this kind of quality time!
For the first time in weeks the sun broke through the clouds yesterday to shine on Paddington's barbeque. If that wasn't miraculous enough I did not touch any of the lethal punch and stuck to soft drinks. I must be growing up.
We're flying to Luxembourg on Thursday to visit my parents, brother and Toby the Teacher - I am so excited. Cue lots of great company, food and drink. What else could you ask for?

I wish I was had stuck to soft drinks instead of the lethal Pimms on Saturday then Sunday might have been more productive and I would have milk for my breakfast today!
Enjoy the lazing, hope the ours is better soon.
By 'great company, food and drink' you mean the soft drinks then? ;0)
Hurrah for Bastille Day - 'tis also my son't 12th birthday which means a day when choccie cake has no cals!
M&T, Mondays are a disaster aren't they? No food in the house and the place is incredibly untidy after the weekend.
Jen, of course I mean soft drinks, their selection is fantastic over there! Happy birthday to your son.
Cripes you're busy! Hope you've had a good day nursing The Ours (I love that name:-)
Have just read the link to the other blog, so funny.
Glad you had a lovely weekend. I succumed (sp?) to Pimms yesterday, great stuff.
Lane, I've made myself sound busier than I actually am. I love the name too!
Debs, glad you liked Toby's blog. The Pimms succumbing sounds lovely, am hoping the weather is good in Lux so I can do some Pimming outside too.
Happy Bastille Day to you too! I'm always happy for an excuse to celebrate. Must pour a glass of red asap!! Just to be social. Obviously I wouldn't want to use up my kids soft drinks......
Sun broke through yesterday here in Cornwall as well. It bloomin' went and hid again today though - behind the rain, mist and cloud!
Kat :-)
KatW, I think it's the law to drink wine on Bastille Day. Same deal with the weather here - absolutely disgraceful today!
Sounds an ideal way to spend the day, just being together, hanging out and looking forward to your well earned hols.

xx
Hullaballoo, it is ideal, especially as The Ours is no longer in pain, the poor thing.
That sounds fantastic. Have a great time in Luxembourg.
Helen, thanks, I'll have a drink on you.
Hi Yvonne,
Just popping in to say hello from where I saw you on Claire's blog. Yours looks a good read - do you mind if I out a link to you on mine as I'm still trying to figure out the whole link thing! Fionnuala
