Ok.

I read my last post about shopping again just now, and realised how much of an empty-headed uncultured goon I came across, asking people about clothes shopping rather than the sights and tastes of Chicago. My toes curled at the thought of people reading it thinking: what a perfect example of a modern eejit, more interested in consuming than the culture of the city.

Then I wondered why it mattered. After all most of them haven't met me. And the ones who have know that I dress like a colourblind tramp who doesn't own an iron let alone a decent wardrobe, would rather spend money on booze than clothes and wears the same outfit every weekend while out on the town because all her other clothes are oversized jumpers and faded t-shirts. And has spent a week making a list of museums, parks and good restaurants to visit.

Then came the realisation - I'm so insecure that I can't stand the thought of one person out there thinking that I live and breathe retail, so I come out with the above 'excuse'. Sigh...
