I was determined to make up for slacking off at the beginning of the week, so I wanted to exceed my usual daily goal today. The break seems to have helped my productivity because I managed a personal best of 2952 words today, and also passed the 60'000 word mark on my manuscript. My neck and back are sore now though, so I'm going to take a long hot shower now before meeting the Ours at St. Stephen's Green.
Three more 'Why I Write' interviews have appeared since I last checked the Guardian's book section; Will Self, Alan Garner and Tim Lott share their thoughts on writing and offer advice to new writers. I find the articles very encouraging - so I can't recommend them enough!

That's a lot of words for one day - well done.
Thanks for your encouragement Anna, it's a great help.
