I don't mean to brag, don't mean to boast...
...but I've done all my Christmas shopping already.
(God bless the Internet.)
Very excited about Christmas this year. The Ours and I are hosting our own celebration in Dublin for the first time and have invited the waifs and strays we know who either live too far from home or are working over the holiday. Predictably the Ours is doing the cooking and I'm in charge of the decorations and presents. It has already become an decorating obsession reminiscent of the first few months in our new flat. Every time I pass Marks and Spencer's Christmas display I stop and press my nose up against the window. (They chase me off for fogging it up) The Ours already had to talk me out of buying these faux fur xmas stockings, but he can't be with me 24 hours a day...
Because we're not spending the 25th December with our respective families, we're going to visit them in early December. My brother is turning 30 in December and my mother and I are also celebrating our birthdays that month, hence the early present shopping. A good excuse to have a few pre-Christmas celebrations don't you think?

WOW. I'm seriously impressed. I only bought the first few bits today, and I'VE got to get them half way round the world by post!
Well done you, Hellojed.

That's impressive - it's giving me a boot up the backside as we're not seeing my folks for Christmas either and I've got to get started on the present buying soon.
And happy birthday in advance!
I'm so impressed, I've usually started by now but this year I seem to be very slow off the starting blocks!
That is impressive, get the stockings they're fab - it's Christmas!
You are getting way too excited, you will have no money left by Christmas! But, well done for doing all your shopping. The trick now is to not buy anymore!
i finally have a whole place to myself to decorate and the other day i pulled my xmas stuff out of the attic to put in my closet till i want to decorate (i was up there for something else and thought, "might as well grab this now..")
i was overcome with glee at the prospect of decorating for xmas. i can't wait.
but i will, because i will not be that person with xmas decorations up two months early...
