Question

Roughly half-way through NaBloPoMo. It's harder than I thought on days where I've been very busy at work, because I tend to write drafts of my posts in advance when I'm quiet. If I leave it until after work my head is absolutely empty. All my brain is good for is a diet of tv.

I've always been a morning person and this stayed true when I was writing full-time. If I started writing before 9 am I'd usually hit my goal by midday, if I procrastinated I'd struggle in the long run. Perhaps I should get up earlier and write my posts before I leave for work?

But all in all I've found NaBloPoMo an excellent motivator. While before I would have been tempted to put off posting until the next day I'm now making an effort to write regularly. I'd like every post to be well-crafted and thought out - I tend to ramble in my first drafts so I like to write it down first, leave it awhile and then edit, which isn't always possible - but posting every day is a good start I feel.

How about you? What motivates you to post, and what method do you like best?

I'm finding that NaBloPoMo is bringing out my inner blabbermouth! I write best in the afternoon when I'm up against my deadline. I wish I could write best in the morning, but I'm not a morning person so I require my coffee drip and think 'big thoughts' as I wake up. ;)

I wanted to do this, but I've got too much to do this month, article wise, so I knew I wouldn't be able to.

I'm a morning person. By the time the afternoon comes by I think too much, and I delete the post I'm writing, thinking 'why does anyone want to know that? They won't be interested ...' But blogging's a bit like that isn't it? It lets people into the minutae of your life in a strange and intimate way.

I've well and truly fallen off the NaBloPoMo wagon but it's still given me a bit of a kickstart.

I'm generally more productive in the morning and I find that I really slump somewhere between 2 and 3pm, so I generally try to do something completely different around that time of day - something that doesn't involve being in front of the computer. That's helpful in it's own way as it offers a chance for all those words and phrases to whirl around for a bit without any immediate pressure and sometimes form into something a bit more coherent.

I am not familiar with NaBloPoMo, what is it?

I am also a morning person and will get up with high energy at 5am, if something needs completed. I also slump in the afternoon and tend to prefer to do something physical. My energy rises again around 5.30pm.

I like to post on my blog when something amuses me or irritates me, and am now more aware of the desire to put energy into it.

I'm a night person so I tend to post late at night, I also don't edit which I probably should do!
NaBloPoMO has been fun so far though. I do lik that it makes all my favourite bloggers post everyday so I have something fun to read over breakfast!
