Exercise and Cookies

Only managed to rewrite 1000 words today but it was quite a tricky scene with multiple characters. I think I did a good job with it.

After that I broke the ten hour barrier on the Wii Fit. What a game! The yoga and muscle exercises are actually hard work - I'm up to 40 jacknifes a day now which is unheard of for me. There are also hula-hoop, step aerobics and boxing mini-games to work up a sweat (but my main aerobic exercise is still walking everywhere as I don't own a car.) The leaderboards for each exercise brings out my competitive side and the weigh-ins help me to stick to my diet. So far so good!

Then I made some chocolate-chip cookies for The Ours' birthday tomorrow. I'd never made them before so it was a hit or miss scenario, but they seem to have turned out ok. I'd take a picture if I hadn't lost the battery from my camera on Saturday night...whoops.

Sounds exhausting! I'm very tempted to get this Wii Fit m'larkey. Everyone seems to rave about it. AND you rewrote 1000 words. I'm impressed. You should definitely reward yourself with cookies :o)

I can't get over the fact that you've never made chocolate chip cookies before! They are my favorite treat.

I don't like video games, but the Wii Fit sounds fun.

Good job on the words - 1000 is good!

You see now you've mentioned chocolate chip cookies and I want some. I was happy(ish) on my diet and now I fear, I will break it - again.

You're on your second draft - me too. How it's going.

Karen, I'm stuffed to the gills with cookies now!

Angie, I never, ever bake. Until now. (We just got a kitchen mixer)

Fiona, welcome! About 25% into my second draft. It's a slow burn...but I'm getting there. How's yours?

Well done on the 1000 words, 1000 good ones is better than 2000 rubbish ones :)

The Wii Fit sounds excellent I want one.

Glad the cookies came out okay, now I really want to make some!

Oh well, if the chocolate chip cookies are from Hugh-Fearnley-Thingy then I suspect they are very wholesome and healthy. You need plenty of sustenance after all that exercise.

I think 1000 words is brill. I sat all day in front of my pc and managed two paragraphs! But even I'm optimistic. It is two more than I had before I wrote them. I need cookies...

M&T, thanks you're absolutely right!

Maddie Moon, I wish I could go along with you but I can't forget putting half a stick of butter in it...

JJ, it's all about picking up momentum. It's taken me ages to get to this point - it's always difficult to get started. Keep up the great work!

I wish I could say that I'd done 1,000 words too, well done.

10 hours on the Wii Fit? I've only done a few. I shall have to get on it more. I haven't tried the yoga out yet but love the step dance thingy.

Debs the step dance thing is very addictive!
