Yesterday was spent scrubbing, disinfecting and rearranging every nook and cranny of this apartment ahead of the estate agent's visit this morning.
I woke up with the knotted muscles and aching bones of a...person who only gets down on her hands and knees to clean when estate agents are visiting.
Seeing that this is the first apartment we've ever bought, not many* estate agents have passed this threshold in the two years that we've lived here.
Fingers crossed that the effort will pay off and he'll give the flat a stunning valuation...otherwise I may beat him around the head with a bottle of Dettol.**
*actually this is the first one.
**only joking about the Dettol bottle of course. Perhaps a light slap around the face with a dirty rag if I'm really pushed.

Good luck today! I hope that hard work pays off and you get a whopping great valuation ... or at least a really good one!
Good luck.
Don't you just hate cleaning! Definitely bad for ones health!!!!!
Good luck with the estate agent.
Kat :-)
Eek, hope it went well!
Thanks all, ideally we'd like to hang onto this place and get another flat, and he thought we'd get good rent for it. But we won't know if we can afford both for another few weeks!
At least the place is squeaky clean...
That's great, hope it works out for you.
Always nice to have a squeaky clean house but I then get really annoyed at the slightest crumb dropped, drop of tea spilt!
M&T I'm going to be following The Ours around with a mop from now on!
Yikes. I have a similar clean up ahead of me a month from now- in order to convince the landlord to give me my deposit back.
Good luck to you.
Red, good luck with the clean up, lashings of alcohol afterwards to sweeten the deal of course. Thanks for visiting!
Best of luck with the valuation.
I hate that sort of cleaning and usually have to do it just before my mother arrives to stay. It's exhausting stuff.
Dx
Debs, thanks, it is exhausting. I usually cheat a little when my parents are visiting but this time I really put my (now broken) back into it!
Best of luck with the valuation! Cleaning doesn't happen much around here unless someone's coming to stay :-) Generally, if we can see most of the floor we're happy... So it's panic stations when we know the MIL is coming round!
On another note, BSG tonight on Sky One!
Jen, I was pretty flustered I tell ya. I saw that episode of BSG already, I couldn't wait, you're going to love it!
Maz, it doesn't look like we're selling now, just buying hopefully...I hope!
Maybe he'll be overwhelmed by the smell of Dettol and make you an offer!!
Karen, why didn't I think of that? Of course, Dettol as a hypnotic agent!
