Happy Bloomsday everyone!
To mark the occasion I give you the last words of Ulysses, where Molly gives us her side of the story:
...I was a Flower of the mountain yes when I put the rose in my hair like the Andalusian girls used or shall I wear a red yes and how he kissed me under the Moorish wall and I thought well as well him as another and then I asked him with my eyes to ask again yes and then he asked me would I yes to say yes my mountain flower and first I put my arms around him yes and drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts all perfume yes and his heart was going like mad and yes I said yes I will Yes.

Wow, made it through that whole quote. Possibly the most of Ulysses I have ever made it through ;)
Have a good bloomsday :)
Happy bloomsday to you too.
Happy Bloomsday to you too. I loved the Dubliners, but I've never attempted any Ulysses... Are you going out to celebrate it?
M&T, the last chapter is the hardest but really worth it. Thanks!
Debs, thanks!
JJ, thanks, I was planning to go to a guided walk today but my hayfever is getting to me, so I'm staying indoors.
Ooh, Bloomsday! Another great reason to celebrate x
Helen, maybe a Guinness with it? ;)
Never made it through the whole book before. Maybe motivation to give it another shot!
Happy Bloomsday to you too :-)
And love the new look!
Jen, it's a tough read but worth it, I recommend reading it with The New Bloomsday Book: A Guide Through Ulysses by Harry Blamires, it saved my life at uni!
Hope you enjoyed Bloomsday. Someday I will read that book! Preferably for a return to Dublin. ;)
Angie, you can't read the book without visiting Dublin, it's impossible! ;)
