A bad day for Dublin. Not only were they completely outclassed by Tyrone at Croke Park today, but one of their favourite sons has died.
Ronnie Drew was a member of the Dubliners, one of the most well-known traditional Irish bands of all time, and also had a successful solo career. He will be sorely missed.
Here's one of my favourite songs sung by Ronnie, The Rare Old Times.

Awh, that's really sad. I love the Dubliners. We would sing all their songs at family dos. We were based in England - but never did and never will forget our Irish roots! :-)
That's is sad.
What sad news x
What a beautiful piece of music. Very sad news.
Ah that's sad. I loved his voice:-(
I was talking to a friend of mine who knows his niece - he was sick for a long time and I think it was merciful at the end. Still incredibly sad.
