I returned from Barcelona on Sunday - I had a fantastic time, what a beautiful and magical city! - but since then I haven't felt like blogging. Perhaps I was avoiding following the usual routine for a few more days? Maybe I didn't want to get back to (virtual) reality?
But the weekend has nearly arrived, which is not unlike a mini-holiday, and I have lots planned. Tonight is Culture Night, where over 100 museums, galleries and arts organisations open their doors until 11 pm this evening. Eager to 'get cultured up', a group of us are going to wander around the Christchurch and Temple Bar area. We'll be visiting a pub later obviously as culture and arts go hand-in-hand with alcohol. Trust me, I'm a writer. Hic.
And tomorrow is my good friend Sinead's 30th birthday. We don't see each other that often so I'm really looking forward to catching up and letting my hair down.
I still don't have a job - the longer-term temp contracts won't be available until next month apparently - but I have been editing the eighth story like a demon.
