Pravda

Last night was a laugh. We started in Grand Central and after a few drinks decided that we needed a dance, so we headed to Pravda on Liffey Street. I'd gone to the latter once years ago and hadn't liked it, so I'd avoided the place since. But luckily it's improved since then - the decor is fun and the music policy is spot on. Don't think I heard one top 40 tune all night, just a well-thought out selection from a wide range of music. We danced and drank quite a bit...so now I have a hangover.

Luckily all I had planned for today was sitting around and eating so it hasn't interfered too much with the enjoyment of my Sunday. We headed out earlier to buy some dinner from Marks and Spencer (dry aged steaks, gravy, potatoes and green beans - delicious) and did a spot of window shopping before hurrying home in the sudden rain. No guilt in staying home then!

Find Pravda a bit hit and miss for music. Had a similar story to you, but in trying to repeat the experience, it has not happened again.

Expectations weigh too heavily I guess.
