100 Novels

I was reading about Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace (via Wikipedia's Fatal hilarity page - don't ask) and I stumbled across Time's All Time 100 Novels.

This was an exciting event as many of the novels on this list are amongst my favourites: The Sun Also Rises, Pale Fire, Gravity's Rainbow, Neuromancer, The Great Gatsby, Lord of the Flies and Beloved to name but a few. (Some didn't make it of course, but what good is a list in which you can't pick holes?)

There are plenty that I haven't read too, so I suppose this means my TBR pile is going to grow a tad taller. Oh poor me.

I just finished GoodFellas by Nicholas Pileggi - an interesting and satisfying read. Not sure what I'll pick up next.

Oh but I'm so tempted to ask why you were reading about fatal hilarity!

I better avoid that list for my wallet's sake. My tbr pile is threatening to topple over and crush me as it is. ;)

Lane, you too!

Angie, really. You DON'T want to know. ;)

M&T, ahh book lists. We really are a bunch of group nerds aren't we?

Helen, Amazon is the devil!

That's actually quite a decent list - it's always nice to see White Noise get in there ahead of Underworld as the DeLillo contribution!
